Description

Tina’s Cat Run takes place on the third Saturday in October, every year, in beautiful downtown Ball Ground GA, at the Ball Ground City Park.  Our goal is to bring awareness to Domestic Violence in our community, and to raise money for our local shelters. All proceeds from this event benefit the Cherokee Family Violence Center and the North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network, Inc.

Sign Up As A Team

When you register, you can create a team.  Invite your friends to sign up under your team name.  It doesn’t matter if they are signing up for the 5K, Virtual 5K, Fun Run or as a Phantom runner.  Your group can be friends, family or work buddies.  The more the merrier!

Event Schedule

Early Packet Pick-up, Race number & Early Packet Pick-up for PRE-REGISTERED & LATE REGISTRATION held at Ball Ground City Park Ball Ground GA (Just off Main Street, behind the Burger Bus) Friday, Oct. 18th  5:00 pm-7:00 pm

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup – 7AM at Ball Ground City Park – (Just off Main Street – Behind the Burger Bus)

7:45 AM – National Anthem and Prayer at the start line

8:00 AM ~ 5K starts

8:55 AM ~ Fun Run starts, medals handed out as you finish

9:15 AM ~ Tina speaks and award ceremony

Awards

Every participant receives an amazing, one of a kind, custom Cat Run t-shirt. Custom medals are  given in the 5K Race, to all male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers, per age group, as well as Overall, Masters and Grand Masters.  Finisher medals are given to everyone who completes the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.

USATF Certified Course

The race starts and ends in front of the Ball Ground Public Library.  It’s a fast, fairly flat, out and back course, which is USATF Certified #GA22044WC. The race is an Official Atlanta Journal – Constitution Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event. 

Virtual and At Home Runners

Virtual / At Home participants must turn in a finish time through the results tab at the top no later than 8 AM race morning

Virtual / At Home participants will be charged an additional $6 when registering for the mailing of their shirt.

Virtual / At Home participants will receive Black Bag and Clover Glove Series Points. 

Virtual Results must be submitted no later than 8AM on October 18, 2025.  To submit your results, click on the results tab at the top of the page.

Timing and Results

The race will be accurately timed by BT Race Timing.  This race WILL NOT be chip timed.  Please fill out the finish card, handed to you as you finish.  Put your name, age, bib number and gender on the card, no need to put your time.  Please turn in your card at the results boards for it to be posted.  Failure to turn in your card will prohibit you from receiving an award on race day.  Complete results will be posted to RunSignUp.com, BTRaceTiming.com, Athlinks.com and RunGeorgia.com after the race

Parking

Free parking is available at and around Ball Ground City Park and within walking distance of the registration, start and finish area. 

You will have about a .25 mile walk from the registration area to the start and another .25 mile walk from the finish to the award stage.

Please do not park in business parking lots.
