Grateful Hearts, Stronger Together

As the year winds down, our team at the Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC) can’t help but pause and take a deep, grateful breath. What a year it has been! It has been a year full of challenges, growth, and so many moments of kindness that remind us why this community is truly special.

Every day, we see compassion in action. We see neighbors giving their time, businesses using their platforms for good, and friends showing up for families who need it most. CFVC’s mission to provide safety, healing, and hope for survivors of domestic violence only happens because people like you care enough to take part.

From volunteers who bring meals to the shelter, to electricians and designers who donate their skills, to community partners who turn their passions into fundraisers – you make our work possible. Whether it’s offering a meal, fixing a light, or writing a check, every act of generosity reminds survivors that they are not alone.

We’re more than an organization; we’re a community of helpers, advocates, and friends. And as this year comes to a close, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who has stood beside us.

Ways You Can Give to Cherokee Family Violence Center

Your kindness fuels everything we do. If you’ve been wondering how to make a difference, here are a few simple, powerful ways to help survivors and their families:

Make an Online Donation

Financial gifts are the foundation of our services. Whether you give once or set up a recurring monthly gift, your contribution helps fill the gaps between grant funding and what survivors truly need to thrive. Monthly donors, in particular, help us plan ahead — ensuring that emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and counseling are always available.

👉 To donate, volunteer, or get involved, visit cfvc.org/donate.

Mail a Check

Prefer a more personal approach? You can send your donation directly to CFVC. Every dollar goes toward providing safety, stability, and the tools survivors need to rebuild their lives.

👉 Our mailing address is: CFVC, P.O. Box 489, Canton, GA 30169

Fulfill Our Amazon Wishlist

Our Amazon Wishlist makes it easy to provide tangible items families need most, things like toiletries, cleaning supplies, and comfort items that help them feel at home. You can shop locally using the list as inspiration or ship directly to our advocates.

Host a Drive for Our Emergency Shelter

Organize a supply drive at your workplace, church, or with friends. These drives provide critical shelter supplies and they raise awareness and show survivors that their community truly cares.

👉 Email [email protected] to get started.

Host a Fundraiser

Do you love pickleball, motorcycles, baking, or cars? Whatever your passion, turn it into purpose. Hosting a fundraiser for CFVC – big or small – is a fun and impactful way to bring your network together in support of local families.

Helping Hands, Helping Hearts

Supporting survivors looks different for everyone, and that’s what makes community involvement so powerful.

If your organization is looking for a meaningful way to engage, invite a CFVC Advocate to speak at your next event. We’ll work with you to create a plan for ongoing partnership. Whether that means awareness campaigns, volunteer projects, or drives for shelter needs, together, we can keep the conversation about domestic violence alive all year long.

Other Ways to Support

Every bit of involvement matters. Beyond giving financially, you can:

  • Follow and share CFVC on social media. Awareness saves lives. Each like, comment, and share helps survivors see that help exists and that people care.
  • Volunteer your professional skills. From graphic design to plumbing and pest control, offering your expertise helps us reduce costs so more funds go directly to client care.
  • Spread the word. Simply talking about CFVC’s services can change lives. When more people understand domestic violence and know where to turn, more survivors find the courage to reach out.

Together, We Build Hope

We have the privilege of witnessing courage every day – from survivors taking their first steps toward safety to volunteers showing up without hesitation. But we’re equally inspired by you, the community that surrounds and sustains this work.

Every contribution, no matter the size, becomes part of a larger story of healing and hope. As we reflect on the past year, we invite you to keep walking beside us in the year ahead.

If you’d like to explore how you, your organization, or your business can get involved, please reach out to Stephanie Villasenor at [email protected].

Together, we can continue building a Cherokee County where every family is safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
